No one wants to spend playing and advancing whole day and then .. oops, goblin came and killed me! It is probably some kind of taboo or what as I see, but roguelike games (any long-length games) imho aren't exception of this rule, even if it sounds romantic to say that it is "basic game feature". Well, for most players it is more of annoying, still I must say that old ADOM was one of the best game I ever played (And it wouldn't be like that with final death, that is for sure :D)Cancershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08490345104242607996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586507643754859034.post-69598248343229789272011-08-27T22:32:11.092+02:002011-08-27T22:32:11.092+02:00@Cancers: Sorry, between Facebook, the newsgroup, ...@Cancers: Sorry, between Facebook, the newsgroup, the issues list, actually working on JADE, having a full time job and a real life it's not always easy to notice everything and answer to everything. No ill will intended, just lack of time ;-)

It's one of the basic features of roguelike games to delete the save files so that death is final. Thus you are asking to undermine one of the basic game category features ;-)

I'm right now planning a kind of "ultimate edition" of JADE that will allow you to actually retain your save file. Personally I do not believe that this enhances the fun of roguelike games but who am I to decide for you how to play best ;-) So please be patient... this year there will be a solution although you still will have to wait a couple of days. The Creatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12906302439863860854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586507643754859034.post-53306968354039026442011-08-26T23:20:59.511+02:002011-08-26T23:20:59.511+02:00No response. First thing I see as negative is absence of ability to copy save file ... yeah, I am doing this, so what! I do not enjoy game without proper save function, so after 2-hour grinding when I die, I have to start again. It would be great to do something about this, I have only one life, and although ADOM is a nice game I do not want to spend so much time with useless grinding again and again. (unless I am missing something?)Cancershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08490345104242607996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586507643754859034.post-27515761173326860402011-08-23T22:19:11.759+02:002011-08-23T22:19:11.759+02:00Works for me :-^ Temporary problem?Works for me :-^ Temporary problem? The Creatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12906302439863860854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586507643754859034.post-39616925208142424442011-08-23T19:31:14.728+02:002011-08-23T19:31:14.728+02:00Hello,
